Keagan Shockley: I have always kind of had like an inkling since I was younger that I wanted to be in health care. I've gone through some pretty scary medical things with my dad, and I got really sick myself last summer, and I want to be that person on the other side of the bed for somebody else who's in that position.

Samuel Carbajal: But I wasn't sure that I would fit in right away in the nursing field, and I quickly got up to speed. I feel like the experiences here have prepared me to be that entry level nurse, where now I can take what I've learned and kind of expand on it with people who have more experience.

Keagan Shockley: Other students should choose Saint Mary because it just gives off a very hometown feeling. You know every single person in your class, you know your professors, teachers, advisors, coaches if you play a sport. There is so much support in this community.

Karlee Graves: So I feel like the University of Saint Mary's nursing program really prepared me to be an RN and transition into that world. I've had lots of clinical experience, and we really honed in on the leadership qualities and everything to be able to one up in my career later on.

Keagan Shockley: We have seen multiple floors, med surge, emergency room, ICU, pediatrics and I just feel like they have let us see a whole spread of options for this field. They just really have made me feel like I'm capable of doing what I'm about to go do.
