(Manheim, Pennsylvania) – The National Wrestling Coaches Association has announced the 2025 NAIA Men's Team Scholar All-America Awards. The University of Saint Mary Men's Wrestling Team is among the top five with an impressive team GPA of 3.54.
The top five programs in this year's rankings are:
- Eastern Oregon University - 3.604713333
- Doane University - 3.578333333
- Embry-Riddle University - 3.54725
- University of Saint Mary - 3.5425
- Graceland University - 3.4975
Several team members also received Men's Scholar All-American Awards, including:
- Freddy Barajas; White City, Oregon
- Matthew Chesbro; Tulsa, Oklahoma
- Lucas Hancock; Leavenworth, Kansas
- Joseph Jernegan; Skiatook, Oklahoma
- Connor Owen; Lansing, Kansas
- Nolan Saale; Platte City, Missouri
- Hartwell Taylor; Leavenworth, Kansas
To qualify, students must meet one of the following criteria:
- Top 8 finisher in the NAIA individual national championship tournament and 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- National qualifier as determined by the NAIA and a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
- Conference tournament participant and a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
- Wrestled in at least 5 competitions as listed in TrackWrestling
