2 p.m. Nov. 7 | Xavier Theatre
(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary will host its annual Founders' Day Concert, which commemorates the 1858 landing of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, at 2 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the Xavier Theatre on USM's Leavenworth campus, 4100 South 4th Street.
The Founders' Day Concert is free and open to the public.
The University Concert Chorale and the University Community Band are under the direction of Dr. David N. Vance and accompanied by Jonnie Brice. The chorale will share a program of choral works from Rosephanye Powell, David N. Childs, Jonathan Rodgers, Lloyd Larson, and Robert Ray. The band will share pieces from Frank Erickson, Cait Nishimura, Arthur Pryor, Percy Aldridge Grainger, and Thomas R. Root.
