Ally Rodriguez-Shores 

 

Alexandria (Ally) Rodriguez-Shores, MOT, OTR/L, Ed.D. Candidate is an Instructor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Occupational Therapy from Rockhurst University and is currently completing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) at the University of Saint Mary. Ally has practiced occupational therapy in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing, pediatrics, school-based services, community-based programs, and home health. Her professional interests and research focus on pediatrics, sensory integration, and supporting teachers and students through collaborative, sensory-supportive educational environments. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve health, well-being, and participation through meaningful occupation. In addition to her academic and clinical work, Ally serves as an assistant soccer coach for a community-based adaptive sports program that promotes inclusive opportunities for athletes of all abilities. Originally from St. Louis, Ally has called Kansas City home for the past 15 years. Outside of work, she enjoys marathon running, listening to audiobooks, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her husband, daughters Millie and Maya, and their two dogs.
