
Campus counseling center
College students face a variety of challenges that affect both academic success and their enjoyment of their college years.
The USM Counseling Center provides:

Confidential individual and group counseling related to personal issues

Crisis intervention

Help with text anxiety

Referral to off-campus providers when needed

Consultation with faculty, staff, parents, or friends who are concerned about a student

Education and training with residence hall staff and other campus groups

Outreach and prevention activities related to student mental health.
Services are available at no additional charge to any currently enrolled student. Appointments are recommended and students are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any personal concern is appropriate to bring to counseling.
