University of Saint Mary

Committed to Affordable Education

You may think that a four-year private Catholic education is financially out of your reach.

Think again.

USM was founded, in part, on the idea that a quality education should be available to all. Consider:

+ 95 percent of our students receive financial aid of some kind.

+ You may qualify for scholarships of up to $52,000 that may make your USM tuition more affordable than the big state schools.

+ We will work closely with you to ensure that your Saint Mary education is an affordable one.

USM Tuition – 2013-2014

University Expenses

The University of Saint Mary is a private institution. The tuition a student pays covers approximately sixty-eight percent of the cost of a University of Saint Mary education. Private gifts meet the difference between the actual cost and the tuition charges. Parents who are able to contribute to the university's educational mission are encouraged to do so by participating in the annual giving program.

Initial Charges and Payment Schedule

Undergraduate: A non-refundable application fee of $25 is required for all new applicants for admission. An advance non-refundable tuition deposit of $100 is required of all full-time students offered admission and is credited to the first semester's tuition upon enrollment. Resident students also pay a non-refundable $100 room reservation deposit which is credited to the first semester's tuition upon enrollment.

Graduate: A non-refundable application fee of $25 is required for all new applicants for admission.
