Orientation For Transfer Students —
Aug. 20-23, 2015



If you are a Transfer Student coming to campus on Aug. 20, we have lots of orientation events for you.

Please review the following schedule and feel free to contact us at 913-758-6120 with any questions.

NOTE: Schedules or activities may change, but be prepared to be busy (& have fun!) all day.
 

Saturday, Aug. 20:


9 - 10:30 a.m. — New Fall Residential Student Check-In — De Paul Library

11 a.m. - Noon — Fall Residential Student Student Check-In — De Paul Library

11 a.m. - Noon — Commuting Fall Student Check-in — De Paul Library

*All NEW fall athletes (both freshmen and transfers) must recheck in. Schedule below:

11 a.m. — Football

11:15 a.m. — Men's and Women's Soccer

11:30 a.m. — Men's and Women's XC

11:30 a.m. — Volleyball


1:15 - 3 p.m. — Transfer Orientation — Berchmans Lecture Hall

8:30 p.m.  — Residence Hall Meeting — Berkel and Maria Halls



OPTIONAL —

9 a.m. - Noon — Student Services — De Paul Library, First Floor

Business Office, Financial Aid, Registrar


10 a.m. - 4 p.m. — Spirit Shop — Mead Hall, First Floor

5 - 6:30 p.m. — Dinner — Saint Joseph Dining Hall

Available with USM student ID for residential students, or $6.75 cash or credit for family and guests.


 

Tuesday, Aug. 23:


9:15 a.m. — Matriculation Meeting and Line-up — Saint Joseph Dining Hall

10 a.m. — Matriculation Ceremony — Annunciation Chapel

Freshmen officially join the ranks as new "Saint Marians" during a special Matriculation Ceremony. The ceremony includes special remarks from USM President Sister Diane Steele, and a unique candle lighting where every single USM freshman lights a candle as a symbol of faith, hope, and success.


Noon - 1 p.m. — Lunch — Saint Joseph Dining Hall

6 - 8 p.m. — Welcome BBQ — North End of Maria Hall
