Campus counseling center

College students face a variety of challenges that affect both academic success and their enjoyment of their college years.

The USM Counseling Center provides:

  • Confidential individual and group counseling related to personal issues

  • Crisis intervention

  • Help with text anxiety

  • Referral to off-campus providers when needed

  • Consultation with faculty, staff, parents, or friends who are concerned about a student

  • Education and training with residence hall staff and other campus groups

  • Outreach and prevention activities related to student mental health.

Services are available at no additional charge to any currently enrolled student. Appointments are recommended and students are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any personal concern is appropriate to bring to counseling.
