Program Cost & Financial Aid
Is the BSN Track right for you?
» If you're passionate about nursing and willing to dedicate a year of your time to your education, the accelerated track can be a highly-rewarding path.
» Candidates should be highly motivated, as you'll basically be finishing two years of schooling in just 12 months.
» To be considered, you MUST have a BS or BA degree in another field from an accredited college or university.
» Candidates are also expected to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on all prior academic work.
USM's accelerated BSN track is very competitively priced with other Accelerated BSN offerings in the Kansas City area, with a total program cost of $32,000 in 2013-2014 (excluding room and board, if you choose to live on campus). Tuition and costs are subject to change, and figures here should be considered an estimate. Contact the USM nursing department for more information.
Saint Mary is dedicated to making your college experience an affordable one, and about 98 percent of our students receive financial aid of some kind.
As the accelerated nursing track is a second degree, your available financial aid options are somewhat limited.
Student loans are available, based in part on need demonstrated on your FAFSA. Contact USM's financial aid office for more information.
Nursing scholarships may also be available from local hospitals and other institutions. These scholarships often come with various stipulations, including a contractual employment agreement. The USM nursing department will be able to supply you with more information regarding these scholarships.
