Prospective Students — Stefani Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
Application to the USM Stefani DPT program is handled through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). It is a competitive process and submitting your application does not guarantee acceptance.
If you already have created a profile in PTCAS, be sure to select the University of Saint Mary as a recipient of your application. If you haven’t set up a profile, a good place to start is at the PTCAS Instructions page.
Applications are due Oct. 15, with classes beginning in June (ending in May of the third year).
A bachelor degree from an accredited institution
All prerequisite courses
PTCAS application including: official transcripts, GRE scores, and essay submitted to PTCAS
Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale)—a 3.5 or higher is recommended to be competitive
40 observation hours at two or more facilities
Non-refundable application fee of $35 (paid before scheduled interview). Paid by check, money order, or online.
Qualified applicants will be scheduled for an onsite interview, along with participating in onsite activities. The interview is the final phase of the admissions process.
Interview candidates are selected based on their compliance with and scoring on admissions criteria. Interview candidates will be notified by mail confirming the day, time, location, and itinerary.
