Pint-Sized Werewolves Welcome at USM’s ‘Trick-or-Treat' Event

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—Keep your knee-high ghosts, goblins, and ghouls safe and warm this Halloween at the University of Saint Mary “Trick-or-Treat Off the Streets.” The 2013 edition of USM’s annual alternative trick-or-treat experience will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in the university’s two residence halls on the north side of the Leavenworth campus at, 4100 South 4th Street.

The “Trick-or-Treat Off the Streets” program is free and open to the public and is a Halloween favorite in the Leavenworth-Lansing area. In previous events, as many as 200 local children and families trick-or-treated in costume through Maria and Berkel halls, USM’s two residence halls.

USM students will be in costume and will pass out treats to young trick-or-treaters. Parents or legal guardians must accompany children at the event, and all participants must provide their own bags for carrying candy and goodies.

Interested in donating candy to the event? USM will accept donations up until 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. Company or individual donations are welcome. Call 913-758-6330 to make a donation of candy or for more information about this event.

“Trick-or-Treat Off the Streets” is sponsored by the University of Saint Mary office of student life. Parking is limited, so please come early.
