Position is for Fall 2014/2015

Position Summary:

Demonstrated pedagogical interest in working with an enrollment of approximately 10 experienced art students in life/figure drawing from models. Availability to teach three two-hour long classes in fall semester of 2014 with online "office hours” or other accessibility outside class.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Capacity to teach life drawing, including observational drawing, awareness of history, practice, techniques, materials and tools of life drawing. Understanding of and ability to teach underlying anatomy and skeletal structure.  Ability to work with a diverse community of faculty, staff and students housed in a university setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

M.F.A. from regionally accredited institution with 2-D or figure focus. University-level teaching experience. Evidence of ongoing studio productivity.

Preferred Qualifications:

M.F.A. in drawing or painting. University-level teaching experience past Graduate Assistantship.
