Teacher Workshop - Using 21st Century Tools
Using 21st Century Tools to Facilitate 21st Century Learning (1 hr)
Two Sessions Sept. 27 -28 (Friday 5-9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Schools, teachers, and students are called upon to demonstrate a vast array of knowledge and skills, particularly with the advent of Common Core and evolving State Standards. At the same time, business and industry calls on schools to particularly help students develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. This workshop is an opportunity to experiment hands-on with how technology can play a crucial role in achieving these varied outcomes. Participants will explore and discuss strategies and ideas for creating learning environments that actively engage students, give context and meaning to their work, and connect with Standards and 21st century skills at the heart of our curriculum.
Take this opportunity to reflect on practice, get your creativity flowing, and enjoy the interaction with colleagues as we explore tools and ideas for 21st century teaching & learning.
